Fair Oak group to be discontinued
One of our wonderful Breastfeeding Counsellors, Helen Hobbs has decided to step down from breastfeeding support after 5 years of running the Breastfeeding Babes Fair Oak group at the Little Coppice Children’s Centre, supporting the Bursledon group and woman-ing the ABM Helpline. Helen came to the group when her own children were babies and went on to qualify as a Mother Supporter and then as a Breastfeeding Counsellor. She has helped hundreds of families as an unpaid volunteer. She has made a huge contribution to our support team with her wisdom, kindness and intuition. We wish Helen and her family the very best in their future adventures.
Sadly, we have decided to discontinue our Friday morning sessions at Little Coppice Children’s Centre for the present with immediate effect, but Bursledon will continue at St. Paul’s Church Thursdays 13:00-14:30 rain or shine and the cake supply will continue uninterrupted. With the future of Children’s Centres under consultation, we may be in a position to start another group in future in an alternative venue.
